This is a large painting of the ‘North Galway hunt’ taking a route through our local Kinlough wood, part of the Ashford Castle estate. The fox, in the foreground is slinking away as always, safe from the attention of the hounds.

The wintery light on the beech, oak and ash trees in their russet and purple hues were so beautiful it was inspirational to paint.
